Indira May shares her captivating new EP 'Imaginary Problems'

With 'Imaginary Problems,' her brand-new EP, indie artist Indira May solidifies her status as one of the music scene's rising stars. A seamless fusion of jazz, indie, and electronic sounds, this five-track collection stands as a testament to the art of musical storytelling, highlighting Indira's unmatched talent for embodying vulnerability and artistic innovation.

The EP starts with 'don’t feed the sharks', a synth-psychedelic pop song that got BBC Introducing’s Track of the Day treatment and UK H&M store playlists. Its hypnotic beats and sultry vocals dulcet the path beneath. The second track that hits, 'childsplay', goes into the day-to-day struggles of living with a chronic illness, specifically never-ending endometriosis. Its haunting production and raw, reflective lyrics make it a stirring anthem of resilience.

With its layers of Indira’s ethereal flowing tones and dub-inspired horns, co-crafted with producer Belfort, the rhythm shifts into 'STOP.' The emotion is magnetic but also meditative. Indira shows her playful side in dance tonight with a cheeky bossanova groove that crackles with witticisms and earsprackling horns, landing on Spotify’s Jazz UK and Fresh Finds playlists.

Closing the EP is 'you & charlie', a poignant ballad that finds a wry and painful humor in the emotional toll of addiction. With lyrics that slice to the bone, it is an apt capper to an EP that won’t flinch from the complexities of existence.”

Imaginary Problems is a testament to Indira May’s artistry and sonic exploration of sonic evolution produced by Rebecca Le Montais. She will have you hooked with her dynamic vocals, instrumentation, and fearless storytelling in no time.
