PLAYY announces second edition of three-day musical extravaganza Timeless Festival

PLAYY. is pleased to announce the second edition of their three-day-camping festival, Timeless Festival in Cape Town, South Africa, set to take place between the 5th and 7th April 2024.

 To be hosted in one of the best kept secrets of the Cape Overberg, the pristine and serene Elgin Country Club, Grabouw, the venue will leave you with an overwhelming sense of tranquillity and enchantment.

The festival will play host to eight internationally recognised acts from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, Brazil and Ukraine, headliners include the progressive trance DJ VEGAS, No.1 DJ worldwide according to DJ mag JOHN DIGWEED, top 50 DJ act worldwide NORA EN PURE, Berlin-based heavyweight duo BOOKA SHADE (headlined stages at Coachella, Glastonbury and Red Rocks), progressive house legend D-NOX, award-winning producer Rodriguez Jr., German based dynamic duo Monkey Safari, and Afterlife signee Ukranian sound producer and live act 8Kays.

There will also be a stellar local line-up featuring notable acts such as internationally recognized progressive psy-trance artist Headroom, prolific producer and 5FM resident Das Kapital, highly in demand Melodic-Techno artist Ryan Hill. Other memorable acts include Dean Fuel, Ivan Turanjanin, The Fogshow, Lady M, B_Type, Pierre Johnson amongst many others.

This editing of the festival follows the inaugural edition which featured a carefully curated line-up with some of the most influential and ground-breaking acts including Grammy-nominated Electronic producer TYCHO, two-time Grammy-nominated Norwegian duo RÖYKSOPP, Grammy award winning act Deep Forest, Dutch producer Eelke Kleijn, German producers Parra For Cuva, Robert Babicz and Maria Die Ruhe, Mexican-born, NY based producer Sainte Vie as well as renowned National artists such as Sun El Musician, DJ Zinhle, Culoe de Song, Leon & Herb, Caiiro, We House Sundays, Enoo Napa, Kid Fonque, Jullian Gomes, Das Kapital, Dean Fuel, Reinhardt Buhr, Roger Goode, Goodluck, and Abbie Nurock to name but a few.

TRANCE & PROGRESSIVE STAGE:

► VEGAS – Paulo Vilela aka VEGAS emerged as a revelation and quickly consolidated his career becoming one of the main names of Brazilian progressive trance. VEGAS has performed at the major electronic music events in Brazil and the world, as well as releasing a remix by Spinnin Records with support from Vini Vici and Armin Van Burren.

► D-NOX – With a DJ career now entering its thirtieth year, D-Nox has become an internationally renowned performer, respected by DJs and clubbers alike for his unusual and innovative sets.The style of his DJ sets is to exhibit the great spectrum of sounds provided by house music; varying through progressive and tech house whilst incorporating aspects of techno and trance. His skill with the vinyl, his impeccable choice of tracks, and his unique charisma combine to provide an exceptional experience.

► HEADROOM – Born and raised in Southern Africa but globally travelled and requested for his unique sound and characterful performances. Well over two decades have been devoted to his craft, fine tuning an evolving and distinctive tech-psystyle.

HOUSE & MELODIC TECHNO STAGE:

►JOHN DIGWEED- English DJ, producer & label owner John Digweed played a key role in developing and popularising the progressive house sound during the 1990s before settling into a niche of prolific live output in the 2000s and 2010s. Voted No. 1 DJ in DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs poll in 2001, he was also on the list over a dozen times collaborating with acts such as New Order, Underworld, and the Orb.

► NORA EN PURE – South African born, Swiss based international queen of Deep House Nora En Pure, who has graced festival stages such as Coachella, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, and EDC, garnering over 100 million streams across all platforms in the process.

► BOOKA SHADE – LIVE – Iconic German duo Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, have carved out a reputation as one of the most celebrated electronic acts to come out of Europe over the past two decades. From their seminal underground releases in the ’90s through to their recent GRAMMY nomination, the duo continue to prove exactly why they remain at the heart of electronic music.

► RODRIGUEZ JR. – Award-winning producer & live performer French-born, US-based Rodriguez Jr. has spent 25 years in the industry. His vast experience in all genres of electronic music makes him the visionary of melodic house and techno that he is today. Over the years he has released via the labels such as Anjunadeep and Armada and demanded remixes of Stephan Bodzin, Booka Shade, Eli & Fur, Röyksopp, NTO, Timo Maas and more.

► MONKEY SAFARI – These guys have been busier than a barrel of monkeys, releasing singles on Anjunadeep, scoring a hit with 'Safe' on Joris Voorn's Spectrum imprint, and remixing tunes for artists like Jan Blomqvist, Booka Shade, and Australian super band RÜFÜS DU SOL.

► 8KAYS: (Afterlife) 8Kays is an artistic project founded in 2014 by Iryna Shvydka, the Ukrainian sound-producer, and live act. Her release on Tale Of Us’ label Afterlife has hit hundreds of festivals and intimate club shows, setting a high claimed sound level for 8Kays as the one to follow.
