South London R&B artist songstress Jaz Karis prepares for the release of her upcoming highly anticipated debut album, Safe Flight, set to drop on September 20, 2024. To further excite listeners for the release, she drops her latest single, ‘CHILL ON ME,’ a collaboration between her and Cape Verdean singer-songwriter June Freedom. As Safe Flight approaches, “CHILL ON ME” serves as a captivating preview of Karis’ soulful artistry and her ability to merge introspective themes with cross-cultural collaboration, setting the stage for what promises to be an impactful debut album.

Produced by Etienne, the song blends soulful acoustics melodies with islandic rhythms while showcasing soothing vocals. The song emphasizes the feelings of yearning for someone and the optimistic thoughts of remaining with their significant other, wishfully thinking of the chance to be back together. With "CHILL ON ME," she continues to showcase her talent and creativity, drawing listeners in with her emotional depth and musical prowess.

Further speaking on the album, Karis shares:

“I am so proud and so happy to announce my debut album ‘SAFE FLIGHT’. The whole concept of this album came to me whilst I was working in LA. This past year or so I have traveled back and forth between London & Los Angeles so much that I hadn’t realized how much my life was changing before my eyes. The title ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ felt fitting due to the amount of times I had heard it this past year; it also felt like I was embarking on a new journey which is exactly what this album has been for me…I wanted the features to also reflect my travels & I’m so fortunate to have had so many stellar artists from across the globe collaborate with me on this. The music also goes into different worlds, but I would like to think that soul runs throughout every song, making them all feel like a flowing body of work."

Be sure to stream 'CHILL ON ME' on DSPs and follow Jaz Karis on Instagram and Twitter for more news, updates, and releases.
