Lauren Mia makes Armada Music debut with “Halcyon” ahead of label launch

Multi-disciplinary musician and producer Lauren Mia marks her Armada Music debut with "Halcyon," a track that bridges the gap between 90s rave culture and modern electronic music. Released on Armada Electronic Elements, the single also serves as a preview of her forthcoming record label of the same name, set to launch in early 2025.

Drawing inspiration from Berlin's vibrant club scene and the resurgence of 90s electronic aesthetics, "Halcyon" emerged from Lauren's time in the German capital earlier this year. "During that era, raw synthesis and straightforward compositions emphasized the journey and experience of sound," shares Lauren. "I found it fascinating to hear these old-school trends resurfacing in the clubs and resonating with younger generations, which motivated me to infuse my own perspective into this revival," she shared.

The release continues an impressive creative streak for the artist, following her Insomniac Records debut "Freedom" on their Interstellar Recordings imprint, remixes for Moritz Hofbauer's "Oneironaut" on Boris Brejcha's Fckng Serious label, and Pretty Pink's "Euphoria," as well as her independent Spectral Reverie EP. These releases build upon the momentum of her late 2023 debut album RE:BIRTH and its subsequent remix compilation, which featured reworks from notable artists including Alfa Romero, Aalson, SKALA, and Anakim.

Lauren's impact extends well beyond the studio, with 2024 seeing her divine feminine energy touch dance floors across the globe. Her touring schedule has included performances at prestigious venues like Brooklyn Mirage/Avant Gardner, Hi Ibiza, and Soho Garden, alongside festival appearances at Zamna, About You Pangea, and Magic Break. Following multiple tours across India, Europe, and the United States, she recently completed a run of dates across Australasia and Japan.

"Halcyon" represents not just Lauren's debut on a major label, but a preview of her next chapter as she prepares to launch her own imprint. The release showcases her technical expertise and forward-thinking approach to production while continuing to bring her divine feminine energy to the forefront of electronic music.

"Halcyon" is out now via Armada Electronic Elements.
