Goldie Scott’s debut EP "Blind Eye" captures strength in vulnerability

Rising star Goldie Scott releases her debut EP with the incredible six-track journey of "Blind Eye," a collection of songs about resilience and self-discovery. At just over 20 minutes, the EP is a compact exploration of some of the most complex parts of life and the strength that emerges from them.

"Blind Eye" showcases Scott’s transformative year, chronicling the vulnerability and empowerment she discovered. Standout singles anchor the projects “Maybe This Is Why” and “The Dark Days,” which frivolously sing about their raw storytelling and trance-like melodies. “The Dark Days” made its way even to Netflix’s Selling Sunset, a crowning achievement of the EP’s transcendent appeal and emotional impact.

From the haunting acoustic guitar to the evocative bass lines and layered vocals, Scott’s soundscape is as reflective as it is compelling. Dark to Us, Blind Eye has established her voice in the songwriting and performance duo of The Revivalists, weaving together dark vocals over dynamic instrumentation, building a sonic play to the audience.

Tracks like “Burn Out” amplify the EP’s theme of clarity in chaos, presenting Scott’s ability to transform heartache into catapulting pop anthems. Whether she’s giving in to life’s chaos or transcending it, Scott’s journey is visceral in each note.

Ideal for fans of soulful, meditative pop, Blind Eye heralds the emergence of an audacious new voice in music. Goldie Scott has not simply released an EP; she’s offered listeners an experience that opens its arms for others to understand the beauty of imperfection and come out stronger on the other end.
